Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam

Kaba means Kapha dosha. Asura means one which helps in mitigating Kapha dosha. If read as Sura means Jwara or fever. Kudineer means concoction/decoction/Herbal Tea.

Presentation: Powder (Choorana) form to prepare Kashaya/Concoction/Herbal Tea

Uses:

  • In the management many types of fever and flu with respiratory complications.
  • It had an important role in the management of Swine Flu during its outbreak and was highly recommended by Siddha Practitioners for prevention and reduction of symptoms.
  • Use of Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam is being recommended by Siddha practitioners for prevention and treatment (reduction in symptom intensity) of Corona Virus (COVID 19)

Indications of Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam

Useful in the treatment of fever associated with cough, cold, difficulty in breathing generally categorized as “Kapha dosha” which usually afflicts respiratory system. This medicine is traditionally used in treating a variety of FLU.

Dose, preparation and administration

To prepare Kashaya – concoction – herbal tea

Take 5 grams of the powder mix it in 300 ml of water, boil till reduced to 30 ml add 10 ml to 15 ml of Honey and give the preparation twice daily.

Duration: 6 to 12 weeks or as directed by the Physician.

There are no reported side effects of this medication. Should be taken under medical supervision.

FAQ

Can Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam taken along with Allopathic medicines?

If both Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicines are advised or being used together it is best to use Allopathic medicine/s first then after a gap of 30 minutes take Ayurvedic medicine as advised by the Physician. It is always advised to follow your Doctor’s recommendations.

Can Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam taken along with Homeopathic medicines?

YES. This product does not react with Homeopathic medicines.

Can Kabasura Kudineer Chooranam taken along with Multivitamins, Omega3 Fatty acids?

YES. Generally this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. If you are taking more than 1 dietary supplement per day, take the opinion of your Doctor.

Can we drink Kabasura Kudineer Daily?

If you have Covid – it is recommended that you drink it twice daily for the duration of the disease.
If you live in the same house as a person with Covid, but you DON’T have Covid, you can drink it 1 time everyday.
For general immunity – Drink Kabasura Kudineer 1 time a day for a week. Give a gap of 10 days – and repeat 1 time a day for 1 week. Keep doing this for the duration of the pandemic.
